Houston crime: 1 dead, 1 injured in shooting that ended in carjacking at Serenity at Cityside apartments on Beverly Hills Street!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A man was shot dead and another was fighting for his life in a hospital after Houston police said some kind of disturbance escalated in the parking lot of an apartment complex in West Houston.

Officers were called at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday to Serenity’s Cityside Apartment on the 6000th block of Beverly Hills Street.

When they arrived, police said they found one of the men dead with a number of gunshot wounds. His identity has not been released.

The other victim, a 32-year-old man, was also found shot and taken to a hospital in the area.

Investigators later learned that one of the suspects had taken off in one of the victims’ silver 2012 Kia Optima cars. There was also a second suspect who had escaped on foot.
